Prior to that I was a partner with Arnett Carbis Toothman PLLC (ACT) , an accounting firm headquartered in Charleston WV, with offices in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. I was responsible for IT consulting including IT audits, security engagements, SOC audits, computer forensics and ethical hacking. I also managed a high volume of healthcare projects at hospitals throughout the region, focusing on IT and healthcare initiatives in West Virginia like rate applications or certificate of need applications.

I have testified as a computer expert in various courts in the state and am a frequent speaker on IT related topics, most recently with a group of WV state CIO’s through a Marshall University Program on Information Technology.

I was one of the co-founders of the original WV PMI and am currently a member of the WV/OV chapter as well as national PMI. Since retiring from ACT I have been able to start becoming more involved with professional organizations as my current position does not have the travel requirements I previously was involved in as a consultant.

I am also currently a board member and treasurer for AIDE, the Appalachian Institute of Digital Evidence, a non- profit allied with Marshall University and focusing on training and education related to computer forensics, Information Security and Digital Evidence.

I completed my MBA in 2009 from Morehead State University. When I am not working or driving Landon to and from his various sporting events, I am very active in my church and refereeing high school and college football. I have even refereed some in the NFL. I have been in my role here for 2 years. Thus, I am still learning and growing in my role and in project management. I am also a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

I have worked with local chapters of professional groups before. I served on the Board on the Kentucky Chapter of HIMSS from 2008-2010. I understand the importance the local chapter serves in meeting the needs of members and making local chapter membership a significant benefit. I am a team player that can understand the overall goal.
