Requirements and Description:

  • Independently delivers on objectives set forth by the Enterprise Data Warehouse manager with understanding of how they impact the results of own area/team and of the organization
  • Works collaboratively with team lead, peers, and business analysts to apply solutions to complex problems through the use of technical experience and judgment
  • Provides informal guidance and support to team members
  • Has knowledge of data models such as IBM's Unified Data Models
  • Has experience working with data warehouses, data marts, operational data stores, data feeds and associated query mining/reporting for business analytics
  • Develops and modifies IBM Datastage jobs and ETL processes per data architecture and modeling requirements
  • Has a good understanding of reusable ETL frameworks driven by ETL design patterns.
  • Proficient at interpreting and working with Relational and Dimensional data architecture concepts.
  • Ability to work with Data Modelers in formulating recommendations and providing solutions.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation for all development and modification.
  • Performs unit testing for solutions developed and ensures integrity and security of institutional data

ANY COMBINATION OF REQUIREMENTS WHICH PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE CONSIDERED

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field;
  • 5+ years in data warehousing and business intelligence;
  • 3+ years of IBM Infosphere Datastage;
  • 3+ years in data quality, BI, and profiling tools;
  • 3+ years with unified data models and data marts;
  • Technologies including SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, IBM DataStage, IBM QualityStage;
  • Ability to work as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead and coach technical staff as appropriate;
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;  
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries;
  • Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
