The West Virginia Ohio Valley PMI (WVOVPMI) chapter welcomes the following new members for the months of August and September:

Please feel free to contact the board at the e-mail address, currentboard@wvovpmi.org, with any questions or suggestions.  Our general membership meetings are usually scheduled for the third Tuesday or Thursday of the month.  They begin at 6:00 p.m. and end no later than 7:30 p.m.  They may be virtual, in person, or both.

We will not conduct the regular October and December membership meetings for 2018 as normal.  Instead, we encourage the membership to attend our annual membership meeting and optional three (3) PDUs professional development workshop (PDW) at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia on Saturday, November 3, 2018.  For more details and to register for the annual membership meeting, click here.

West Virginia Chamber of Commerce

WVOVPMI is now a member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.  Our President Elect, Michael Brown, represented WVOVPMI at the Chamber’s annual meeting in August. Hear more about this initiative at our annual membership meeting.

Nominations

The nominations process for our 2018 elections has commenced for the following positions with two year terms -- 2019-2020:
The following positions are open:

• VP - Finance (position currently held by Marvin Taylor)
• VP - Communications (currently held by Kim Harbour)
• Director At Large (2 positions, currently held by Brian Cochran and Jonathan Young)

Call for Volunteers

In addition to chapter board officers, we have many volunteer opportunities.  For example, we could use additional assistance with activities such as recruiting presenters for our monthly membership meetings, managing our social media channel(s), website maintenance, etc.  We will be advertising these opportunities soon.
