Presentation synopsis: Automated Project Status Reporting
Siemens recognizes the value of project status reports. Not only do regular status reports provide information about the project for management and stakeholders, they also ensure that on a regular basis, the team, and in particular, the project manager, is required to focus on the project milestones and the progress being made toward their completion and on issues that may be preventing the project’s completion.
Annette designed and developed an Access database to automate project status reports for the Siemens Project Office staff, providing the functionality to communicate on multiple levels. This database is in the process of being developed as a Siemens Best Practice.
This presentation will review the before and after processes of developing and communicating project status reports, showing the efficiency and time savings in using the database, while providing consistency in project status reporting to the various levels of stakeholders.
