CHAPTER MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
The October WV/OV PMI Chapter program meeting for 2010 is scheduled for Thursday, October21, at 5:30 PM.
The program will feature VP of TMC Technologies, Carlos Martinex, presenting some of his experience and lessons learned during his time at Honeywell, specifically concerning the Risk Program.
The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the I-79 Technology Park Research Center located in the I-79 Technology Park, 1000 Galliher Drive, Fairmont, WV, with a remote teleconference site in room 2015 in the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center (WVU Building) on the CAMC Memorial Hospital Campus.
Web broadcast will be made available to WV/OV Chapter Members. Information specific to the broadcast will be communicated in a later mailing.
As usual, everyone (including non-members) is welcome to attend this session. There is no cost to attend.
In 2007, Carlos became a project manager with Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. in Colorado Springs, working on Honeywell’s $1.3B contract supporting the Air Force Satellite Control Network. Prior to Carlos assuming management of the contract's Risk Program, the Air Force had rated the Risk Program as a "weakness". Under Carlos' guidance, Honeywell revamped the program and, in 2008, the Air Force rated the program as a "strength". In his presentation, Carlos will share some of the Lessons Learned during the process of turning that Risk Program around.
Carlos Martinez, Vice President of TMC Technologies in Fairmont, West Virginia. His experience base spans military, academic and business environments. He retired from the US Navy in 1992 and has been employed in technical services companies, both large and small, ever since. He has taught electronics and computer courses in military, community college, university and business settings. He has served in a variety of roles with different companies, including software engineer, operations manager, project manager, vice president and president.
