PMI Presentations at Teaming To Win
Please note that we will not have a Chapter meeting in May, as we are supporting TTW instead. We invite those of you attending the conference this year to come to the sessions, get your PDUs, and support the Chapter.
Tom Kittredge, President of Kanawha Stone Company, will present at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, 27 May. Tom’s 18 years of executive management experience includes founding Terradon Communications Group and, later, serving as president of TERRADON Corporation. He has been awarded St. Albans Main Street’s Business Person of Year, been named a ‘Young Gun’ by West Virginia Executive magazine, featured in the State Journal’s ‘Who’s Who in West Virginia Business’, and been given the State of West Virginia Environmental Stewardship Award by Governor Bob Wise. His presentation is titled “ Telling Your Project’s Future: Earned Value Management, the Crystal Ball of Project Management.”
Jim Dufford, Program Manager for Xcelerate Solutions, will present at 2:00 pm on Thursday, 28 May. Jim is a retired Naval Aviator and has been a Program Manager for SAIC/Leidos. His presentation is titled “ Project Management Checklists”.
Bryan Martin, Assistant Director of the West Virginia Research Corporation Office of Research Program Management (ORPM), will present at 10:15 am on Friday, 29 May. Bryan oversees the day-to-day operations of the ORPM, providing project management services to a diverse portfolio of grants from federal agencies including the Department of Justice, National Institute of Justice, National Science Foundation, United States Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Energy. His presentation is titled “ How to Navigate and Survive ‘Real World’ Risk Management”.
Dr. Eldon Larsen, Professor of Engineering at Marshall University, will present at 11:15 am on Friday, 29 May. Eldon teaches graduate courses in project management and engineering management, and is the Coordinator for the Master of Science in Engineering degree. Before joining Marshall University in 1999, he was employed by Union Carbide Corporation for over 16 years. His presentation is titled “ A New Vision of Communication and Teamwork”.
