Abstract: Project Managers must analyze, schedule, plan, solve problems, manage change, control budgets and manage multiple functions and personalities, in situations where most team members do not report directly to the project manager.
So how do you get teams of people who have different objectives and different roles to achieve one project goal, on time and within budget?
The speaker, Clint Arnold, will share and discuss how to combine standard project management skills to organize, plan, manage change and communicate along with a few leadership skills like listening, pushing the envelope, servant leadership, ego holograms, simplification and challenging the status quo, can enable smoother project flow and better teamwork in a way you may not have thought of before.

Speaker Bio: Clint began his professional career in 1986 as an Operator for GTE Corporation and retired as a Director for Verizon after 25 years which included multiple mergers and acquisitions including several Bell companies, Verizon, MCI and finally Frontier. During the ever-changing 25 years he progressed through several functional management and leadership positions in sales, sales support, project management, data engineering, marketing, training, communication, product development, product marketing and channel management.
During the 25 years in the telecommunications industry, he consistently exceeded objectives, generated hundreds of millions in revenue and won many awards for his performance. Some of the awards earned were GTE and Verizon Circle 100, Diamond and Platinum awards for sales performance, Verizon Presidents Leadership Awards for sales and product development, President’s awards for product leadership and several regional awards for leadership and team results.
After retiring from the telecom industry in 2013 he created CT Arnold Enterprises Inc. which owns an AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care auto repair franchise and real estate. He is also a John Maxwell Team certified speaker and coach, specializing in coaching, mentoring, leadership training and customized training for small, medium and large corporations.
In 2012, Clint answered a call to serve in a leadership role at Abundant Life Ministries. He was ordained as an Executive Pastor in December 2014. He is responsible for the Children’s Ministry and numerous support functions. As part of his ministry work in the community, he has led several projects donating food and volunteering at multiple shelters and food pantries in the Charleston area.
From 1997-2012 he coached youth and high school baseball teams in Texas, Pennsylvania and WV. His teams won two state championships, one national title and multiple top five finished at the state and national level. He had multiple players earn college scholarships to Division I and II schools all over the country and have proudly watched them develop into productive young men.
Clint has a unique matrix of experience and success in developing people, sales, marketing, operations and teams in a fortune 10, small business and athletic environment. His key skills include strategic and tactical planning while transforming low and underperforming teams, into high performing teams. His other strengths include communications, change management, leadership development, business and financial analysis, corrective action plans and performance leadership.
Clint’s education includes a BA in Communications from the University of Kentucky, where he was also a four year letterman and All SEC performer for the baseball team. He earned an MBA from the University of Charleston with a 4.0 GPA and completed two Leadership Development programs from the University of Maryland Executive Leadership Program and The Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego, CA.
He has been married to Trina, a retired teacher, and also a UK graduate, for 31 years. Clint and Trina have two grown children, Christen Woodard (27) who is married with three children and resides in Memphis, TN and Barrett (24), who is working on his MBA at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
